Meet Mrs. Urbanowicz
Let me introduce myself...
I grew up in both Massachusetts and Georgia as a kid, but have neither a Northern, nor Southern accent. I love ALL Boston sports and grew up playing basketball my entire life.I am a Red Sox, Celtics, and Patriots fan. I love my family and have three younger brothers, which made me quite the tomboy growing up. My parents are both teachers and are one of the reasons I wanted to become one. I went to Wheaton College and played basketball there all four years-shooting a lot of 3-pointers! I got married to a baseball player from Wheaton named Tim and lucked out with such fancy last name-Urbanowicz! This is my first year here at Ben Franklin, having spent four wonderful years of teaching at Churchill. I taught Second Grade for two years, Fifth Grade, Level 3 Literacy, and now am excited to embark on this new adventure as a Digital Literacy Specialist. This job combines my love of teaching literacy and technology and I truly think I have the greatest job in the world!
